Perfection

Are you waiting for that perfect moment to launch that new idea or initiative?  Once you have it all set up perfectly, you’ll be ready to go?  There’s just one problem, there is no such thing as perfect.  Perfect is a great goal, but you rarely start there.  The idea has never been applied amid all of the possible variables.

Legendary football coach Vince Lombardi promoted a sound mindset for learners to apply:  “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence.”  Don’t wait to design “perfect” out of the blocks.  You of course must know what to do first, understanding that no progress or improvement toward the goal of perfection can be made until it is applied, measured for performance, and adapted/modified to achieve it’s purpose.
