I refer quite frequently to having a purpose in life. Mine is to continue to learn and to help others to learn so that a bigger and more impactful difference can be made. If that were not my purpose, there would be no reason or direction for attempting to write a blog post every day. Having a defined and committed purpose directs us in the decisions we make, the level of passion we sustain throughout challenges/barriers, and to generates a broader sense of curiosity to continue to discover a better way.
Condoleezza Rice shared a compass reference that I read years ago and after searching for a bit, I found it to share with you. Her context hopefully connects with you as a symbol of the importance of having a committed purpose.
“Education is of no value and talent is worthless — unless you have an unwavering aim. Never find yourself without a compass.” — Condoleezza Rice —
