Busy or Productive?

Busy doesn’t equal productive.  Deming, in his lifetime efforts to support continuous improvement, offered the following quote for us:  “It is not enough to do your best, you must first know what to do and then do your best.”   Putting in the most hours and doing your best guarantees no outcome if you are not doing the right things to produce a specific outcome or result.

Ryan Holiday offer’s this simple guidance for us to apply:  “Evaluate what your doing, why you are doing it, and where accomplishing it will take you.”  “If you don’t have a good answer, then stop.”
