Start to Walk

Lately it seems that nearly everyone I talk to is amid one form or another of a fairly substantial transition in their work.  More than a coincidence I guess, change is happening quickly and nearly everywhere.

What most people do:

  • people first resist, defer and even denounce inevitable change in an effort to prove that they don’t need to
  • people next dig in to validate a hold on their unchanging mindset
  • they will then overtly and covertly attempt to influence the mindset and actions of others to do the same, only to protect themselves
  • objective measures and theories of change are openly discussed, but they only play along with a very closed mind

My simple advice for what the right thing for you to do is…

“As you start to walk on the way, the way appears.”    —  Rumi  —
