Let’s be real. Start from where you are at as you set your priorities for the upcoming year. Initiating a hope to run a marathon one month from now, when you haven’t put in the necessary months of consistent work to properly train for it, is not real.
It’s okay, start with where you are at. This would be true with setting aspirations with work projects and time frames, with organizational strategies to improve results, with other personal wellness priorities and so on.
“I start from where the world is, as it is, not as I would like it to be. That we accept the world as it is does not in any sense weaken our desire to change it into what we believe it should be — it is necessary to begin where the world is if we are going to change it to what we think it should be. — Saul Alinsky —
To the wonders of reality, then strive to be better.
