Relating With Others

As of yesterday, I have been blessed to be a part of a marriage for the past thirty-five years.  Even after all this time, I am still learning with how the lessons of our lives can be so much better when we are able to share that life with someone quite special.

Each person in this relationship works to support and understand one another, yet in balance often expects more from you than you might have of yourself.  Individual sacrifices are necessary to reach forward together, knowing that we all need someone who understands us better than we do ourselves, if only to keep us honest.

I am certain of this as I continue learning about marriage and relationships, I am a much better person as a result of our marriage.  I still have a lot to learn together with others as well.

Each of us has the capacity to functionally relate with the significant others in our lives and to learn together through those experiences with them.  There is greater value, benefit and contribution when we work with others for the greater good.
