Education Outcome?

With all the assessment and preparation to consider in determining whether to open schools or not under current public health conditions, little of the focus seems to be on the critical facet of student learning.  It is possible for students to progress in their learning within a wide range of circumstances, but that doesn’t appear to be the focus yet.

Supportive parents and teachers will help the student to set the stage for their learning by emphasizing the right things.  The principle outcome of any educational offering should be to have influenced and inspired a student to themselves pursue continued building of knowledge.

The pursuit of knowledge is well beyond signing in or showing up on the right day at the right time with the right safety protocols.  If you are in these complex scenarios heading into a new school year, do not forget the principle outcome to be attained.

“What we want is to see the child’s pursuit of knowledge, and not knowledge in pursuit of the child.”   —  George Bernard Shaw  —

Continually pursue knowledge.
