On marked occasions we pause to celebrate the milestones that we pass through in life. These planful events are taken in and we then slide back into the daily patterns of life.

Are these celebrated milestones more significant than the occasional moments that we come across in our daily lives where we are touched in smaller ways?

The road until you reach the next milestone is what you make of it. Don’t lose sight of the incidental moments that occur for us along the way.

Soon it will be my Mothers 8oth birthday and a milestone will have been reached. On the path to reaching this milestone, she has created and lived thousands of significant moments with others. The moments will forever be remembered and cherished, the milestone will pass on the way to the next one.
