A pandemic is rolling through a predicted second, third or continual wave. The economy is strained as a result in numerous ways. There is a cloud of uncertainty in the future. Seems like a good time to be down emotionally about these challenges.
But, life moves on as we set ourselves to meet the challenges within it. This is not a time to be negative in what we face and what might be the next challenge or the one after that. We will have numerous decisions to make and approaches to take that facilitate our course one way or another. Progress and success for one decision shouldn’t negatively impact the affect of other decisions swarmed in the negativity of events outside our control.
In the realities of challenging events, do not forget to first enjoy the many blessings most of us have each day. Keeping a sense of optimism will help us to not become overwhelmed. Focus even more to learn, to relate with others and to build upon ourselves with others to move beyond the challenges. Be an optimist when it’s the hardest to do so, when it matters most.
“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” — Winston Churchill —
