The disruptive year of 2020 is coming to an end, but only as tracked within a calendar. When the year turns to be 2021, adaptations to the disruptions will continue to need to be made.
How should we approach the presenting fate we find ourselves in? I suggest 1) Purpose and 2) Intelligence.
We can continue learning and applying what we are learning. As the scientist Stephen Hawking reminded us, “Intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.” Approach with intelligence. Be informed.
Setting course with your purpose in life is critical as well. From the perspective of psychologist and Holocaust survivor, Viktor Frankl, “Life is never made unbearable by circumstances, but only by lack of meaning and purpose.” Be focused first on your purpose.
In retrospect, many other eras in time have been much more challenging than ours is today. Societies will find their way within a collection of individuals that intelligently act to adapt to alleviate or overcome the presenting conditions.
Your role is to learn how best to adapt while continuing to focus on your purpose in life.
