We all have an image of what life is supposed to bring freely to us. We often continue to expect so much and then suffer when reality doesn’t match up with such high expectations.
Our fate is not to have all of our individual expectations fulfilled. The universe presents reality. Some fate is favorable for us and some not at all. Your individual expectations have little to do with fate.
Find your balance with expectations for yourself and with others. Temper those expectations well before an experience with reality even begins. Seek with great curiously to discover and appreciate the wonders of reality in each experience so that you may learn from and improve upon what you find. Do so consistently to stay in balance, even as others around you persist to expect more while dealing less with presenting realities.
“Do not stay out of rhythm for longer than you must; you will master harmony more by constantly going back to it.” — Marcus Aurelius —
Stay in rhythm.
