You want things to work out in just one certain way and this would generally begin with it being your way. This can make perfect sense to us within our individual perspective, depth of knowledge and past experiences.
The issue then becomes, does anyone share that same perspective as an approach to the issue. Rarely is one individual perspective for a solution considered to be the same for everyone. The more complex the issue and the broader the impact of this decision, the more complicate this becomes.
Your goal shouldn’t be for you to always be right within just your perspective, but rather to do the right things to best reach the shared goals of many. Without some form of moderation, considering multiple perspectives, very little will be accomplished and nothing would be sustainable.
Do the right things rather than be right.
“Everything that exceeds the bounds of moderation has an unstable foundation.” — Seneca the Younger —
