Why Worry?

We’d like to have guaranteed outcomes in seeking solutions before we would even start to work on them. Then, we wouldn’t have to worry. We’d know beforehand that the outcome is worth our efforts.

Problem is, there are very few guarantee’s such as this. So, we continue to worry. Because we worry, we lose confidence and hesitate before we would even get started working toward a solution. We settle to retain the problem as it is.

Stop worrying. Be mindful to control and influence only what you can as you work toward the outcome. Even with a precise recipe and practice, there is no guarantee of a great outcome without doing the work. Invest in what you can do without worry and you will learn further toward the solution.

“If the problem can be solved, why worry? If the problem can’t be solved, then worrying will do you no good.” — Shantideva —
