Making decisions and setting a personal direction in our lives can become overwhelming at times. What if we make a bad decision? What if we haven’t fully considered the implications?
Who better than you could make those important decisions in your life? It is you that will experience the decisions that you make. It is you that knows the precise direction you are taking. It is you that will learn from the decisions you’ve made to inform the next decisions.
Your life should be the result of your choices. Determine where you want to eventually be and decide to act with this determination remaining top of mind. Learn your way there by experiencing your decisions. Uphold your values and your character in the process. Relate well with others as they may experience your decisions in some form as well.
You may not have considered everything and you may make a poor decision every now and then. If it is your decision though, you will be more apt to learn from it and remain on course for where you are determined to be in the end.
“It’s hard to imagine a more stupid or dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong.” — Thomas Sowell —
