Often we have unrealistic expectations for what lies ahead of us. We may fear a thing that will never happen or we may expect great things that will never come to us. Expectations are rarely accurate and largely ineffectual.
Be cautious in setting your expectations. Nothing is probably going to be as great, nor as awful, as we might imagine beforehand. What place do your expectations have with your success?
With positive mindset, learn your way through fully present experiences. Anticipate challenges and prepare for them to achieve your goals, but remain guarded against preset expectations that may throw off your best and most aware efforts.
You’ll discover the outcome soon enough and from this you will learn again to apply later on.
“Expecting is the greatest impediment to living. In anticipation of tomorrow, it loses today.” — Seneca —
