We often think first about ourselves when we merely react to life. When we pause for a moment to think from our experiences and what we have learned in their application, we then begin to think of others as well. What effect might my action have upon others?
Mindful consideration of others is about altruism, the opportunity to generate a better place for more than yourself through your actions in the service of others. Better then to pause for a lasting effect that you may produce in another’s life than act to only care of yourself.
Imagine going through life alone for just your own benefit and survival. There would eventually be no one there to relate with. They wouldn’t need you or rely upon you for any purpose. Balance to care for yourself and for the benefit of others.
