Over time, we begin to trust those special people that demonstrate by doing precisely what they said they were to do. For those that will say one thing and then do another, it would be hard to ever trust them even once. Trust is a complex and difficult process to build with others, but one that is very easy to lose.
Trusting relationships begin with each of us. Generate from your words and your actions the type of person you will be happy with for your entire life. You will first have to trust yourself to be trusted over time by others. Trust becomes a better two-way street when you start with yourself as the foundation. When others feel the need to second guess you, there will be very little trust developed in that relationship.
“As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live.” — Goethe —
