As They Are

From the full comprehension of reality, the place we are currently at, we can make our best decisions. If we pretend a thing is more or less than it truly is, our next decisions and actions will merely be an extension of that hope.

If the present weather is bad, it is not a nice day. Don’t pretend it is nice when it isn’t and live accordingly. Carry on with your best decisions, knowing fully that the weather just sucks that day.

The reality of the weather and a thousand other realities will frequently change, but know that reality is from where you should decide and then act from.

“I’ve found that people who look at things as they are, and not as they wish them to be, are the ones who succeed.” — Sarah Orne Jewett —
