There are a number of ways to demonstrate an act of friendship with another. The one that matters most to me is the efforts made to help one another to become better at what matters most to them.
Authentic friends are people from throughout our lives that added meaning and purpose for us and us the same for them. The impressions, thoughts and comforts provided one another will resonate for a lifetime even when they aren’t present. Friendships bring a smile from a memory a time shared just when you need it the most.
To be a genuine friend and to have genuine friends is a blessing above most all others. We should always be thankful for those people that have become that person with you.
“The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is in the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when you discover that someone else believes in you and is willing to trust you with a friendship.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson —
