No surprise I hope, we all face adversities. They are a part of living a full life. Adversity may work to either build upon the character and wisdom of a person or break them down. Be a builder. The river will continue to flow, even as a barrier is presented. So may you.
Those that come to expect and duly recognize adversity will handle it much better and grow more from it. Those that cower in hope of avoiding it remain fearful and again unprepared for it.
Remain calm to anticipate what is next, adversity or possibly not. Evaluate the first steps you will take as adversity approaches rather than falter in self-pity. Know that it is coming and deal with it most rationally. Continue to flow.
There are many lessons to be learned and actions to be taken. Remain centered in your life’s purpose and not wallow in the circumstances of the moment. Overcome to benefit from adversity and prepare to know it will come again. Remain undeterred and unharmed, its your option to take.
“Just as nature takes every obstacle, every impediment, and works around it – turns to its purposes, incorporates it into itself – so, too, a rational being can turn each setback into raw material and use it to achieve its goal.” — Marcus Aurelius —
