Why would we allow ourselves to become provoked with divisiveness and a sense of being overwhelmed by others? When this sense begins to come upon you, think first and then act in response with compassion.
The world becomes closed to those that rarely think and act very for the benefit of others first. Sense the pain of others and begin to move them along with your compassion. Be more concerned with what we are together and less about what we ourselves might not yet be.
We are stronger as a result of the compassion that we share with one another. It is a show of strength rather than weakness to care about and for others. The weak are more prone to being divisive and overwhelmed in their own closed state of mind.
When provoked, don’t bite. Stay way above the fray to uphold compassion first.
“If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.” — Dalai Lama —
