Coaches push us to be better than we would be if we were left to our own. They push us beyond first thought limits and doubts. They guide us to think for ourselves and for what is next if we are to excel. They want no credit for the intentionally positive improvements they’ve promoted us to make, knowing it is your improvement and success that is to be admired and not theirs.
The stress that a good coach will position us with is for us to reach toward our full potential from a positive energy. Referred to as eustress, a stress that is healthful and the stimulus for growth. The wisest of us will take the applied practices of being well coached for ourselves to keep the learning process growing.
