Treasures

There are times where will need to push ourselves to become uncomfortable. To stretch beyond what you already know and how you routinely act to hold to your ways. To address the barriers so that you would find a new and better way.

We can be tempted to hold onto our routines and patterns of behaviors so that life may be simpler from our mundane, but tested thoughts and actions. There is however little to gain by holding back nor by sticking to the known rather than the unknown. Better to learn a new way as you venture outward for a better course.

There is of course a balance for us to find between comfort and discomfort so that we remain persistent and continue learning throughout life. If we don’t use it wisely, we will eventually lose it forever. If we would aim only for comfort, we will no longer be able to learn.

“In the sea there are countless treasures, But if you desire safety, it is on the shore.” — Saadi —
