Underestimating?

Tremendous progress comes from your calculated decision to do the right thing, that one thing that makes the biggest difference, versus doing a bunch of things right.  The right thing is often the hardest thing to do, but that’s why it differentiates your work.  Doing something really well does not make it important.

“Being busy is a form of laziness — lazy thinking and indiscriminate action.  Being busy is most often used as a guise for avoiding the few critically important but uncomfortable actions.   —  Tim Ferris  —

Don’t fear doing the right thing because it’s outside of your comfort zone.  So what if you’ve never done that one critical thing that you know you need to do?  Go learn to do it and do it well, just as you have with a hundred other critical things you feared before you acquired the knowledge and skills to do it with excellence.

Discover the right thing and get uncomfortable doing it.  Don’t overestimate the challenge or underestimate yourself.  Ride the damn bike until your good at it.
