The greatest people I’ve known in my life have been the ones that made me to feel that I could do even better. They’ve challenged me, in balance with believing in me. They’ve invested their time in mine for my benefit and not just their own. They’ve arranged opportunities for learning to succeed and demonstrated at right moments how it might be done. The great ones would never take credit for another’s growth, because that credit would rightfully belong to the learner.
To become a great person in the eyes of another is rare. It requires passionate actions that build a sequence of learning and growing together with over time. It starts and ends with a loyalty to invest together for a greater good. Surround yourself with those aspiring to be great people and act to become one yourself.
